Paper polyether defoamer is generally made by multi-component compounding. The performance of the main foam can be enhanced by the compounding of surfactants. Whether an active is suitable for defoaming depends on its application conditions. For example, stearic acid is an antifoam agent under acidic conditions, while it is a foaming agent under alkaline conditions; it is effective at low temperatures, while it will be ineffective at high temperatures.
